Join SHYAC and become part of our creative community!

Enjoy membership benefits, access to drama clubs, workshops, and performance opportunities, with options for both on-stage and behind-the-scenes involvement. It’s a great way to learn new skills, build confidence, and share your passion for the performing arts.

Family Membership – $30 per year

A Family Membership entitles up to 2 children to be eligible to be a part of SHYAC productions, workshops and/or drama clubs and will also be covered by our insurance while being a part of these events. Additional children can be registered on the same form and will cost an additional $5 per child. Details must be provided for each child who is part of the membership.

Each Family Membership comes with complimentary Associate Membership for two parents/guardians, providing you with the benefits of membership listed below.

Associate Membership Benefits (Family/Adult)

An Annual membership fee provides you with the following benefits:

• Eligible to perform in SHYAC productions, attend workshops and drama clubs
• Exclusive ticket pre-sales and member discounts
• Invitation to members-only events
• Automatic subscription to our newsletter
• Discounts from our Sponsors and Supporters
• Other benefits as determined by our committee

Please note only Full members have voting rights at General Meetings.

Full Membership

This is offered to Associate Members who have demonstrated long-term commitment and active involvement in SHYAC’s productions or operations.

Full Members receive:

• Voting rights at General Meetings
• The ability to nominate or stand for Committee positions
• Opportunities to shape the direction of the group

There’s no need to apply — eligible members are nominated and approved by the Committee.

T&Cs

• Membership is valid for the calendar year (1 Jan – 31 Dec) and is renewed in January of each year.
• In accordance with the SHYAC constitution your membership will lapse if not paid by the due date.
• All members agree to abide by the rules and policies of SHYAC while a member

Adult Membership (single) – $10 per year

An Adult Member receives the same benefits as an Associate Member, providing you with the benefits of membership listed below. An Adult Member cannot vote at meetings.

To become an Adult Member, a fee of $10 must be paid.
